Who we are

Stocktane is a platform for running community Rocket League tournaments. It handles player signup, verification of submitted rank evidence, team generation and brackets. Stocktane is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Epic Games or Psyonix.

What we collect

• Account information. When you sign in, we store an account identifier and a display name.
• Linked gaming identities. If you link an Epic Games, Steam or Discord account, we store the stable account identifier that provider gives us and your public display name on that provider. We do not receive or store your password for any of these services.
• Rocket League Tracker profile. If you supply a Tracker Network profile URL, we store that URL and the publicly visible rank statistics observed at it, along with when they were observed.
• Tournament activity. Which tournaments you register for, your registration status, and decisions an organizer makes about your registration.

Why we collect it

A linked Epic identity establishes that a signup belongs to a real Rocket League account, so tournaments are not disrupted by duplicate or misrepresented entries. Publicly visible rank statistics are used to build balanced teams and to flag registrations for an organizer to review by hand. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Automated review

Stocktane may automatically flag a registration for a human organizer to review — for example, when observed rank statistics are unusual relative to a player's recorded match history. A flag is a prompt for human review, never an accusation and never an automatic rejection. Final eligibility decisions are made by a tournament organizer.

Who can see your data

Organizers and administrators of a tournament you register for can see your display name, linked identity display names, submitted Tracker profile, and observed rank statistics for that tournament. They cannot see your email address or your registrations in other tournaments. We do not share your data with third parties except the infrastructure providers below.

Where it is stored

Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database operated by Supabase and served by Vercel. Both act as processors on our behalf.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active so you do not have to re-verify for every tournament. You can unlink a gaming identity at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us. Records required for the integrity of a completed tournament may be retained in anonymized form.
